Love! what is love?
It is an emotion that keeps people bonded and committed to one another.
What is the love of God?
The love of God is deeper than any form of love you will ever experience. It is pure and it is honest. It is a blanket, a shield that no darkness or evil can penetrate. As human beigns we crave the feeling of love. In short, we crave the love of God. The love of God is healing, it is pure and it is the truth.
Isaiah 41:10 reads, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”.
Psalm 147:3 reads, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds”.
We all have access to God’s love, but we have to choose him to experience the full extent of it. Remember, he loved us first! And because of that love he gifted us with our own free will. Each and everyone of us has the ability to make our own decisions. To choose right from wrong, good from bad, and to love or hate. I mean, just think about it. Think about everything you would do for someone you deeply loved, and then times that love by a million. A love so deep that it cannot be contained.
1 John 4:19 reads, “We love because he first loved us”.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 reads, “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away”.
My brother’s and sisters, let us open up our hearts and truly embrace the Lord. Let us embrace his commandments and his laws for God is love. Let us embrace his son “Jesus Christ” and his spirit “The Holy Spirit”. God is waiting for all of us. One day we will see the son of God in all his glory. Jehovah is God. He is Alpha and Omega, beginning and the end, first and the last. The one and only true God.
1 John 4:16 reads, “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him”.
Zephaniah 3:17 reads, “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing”.
In conclusion, no matter what we go through in our lives, we can be sure of God’s love and presence. We can be sure that he will give us peace on earth and that he will never forsake us. Glory be to God, for his kindness, mercy and faithfulness.
Father God, we thank you for your love. We thank you for always being there to guide and counsel us in times of distress and uncertainty. We are eternally grateful for all that you do for us. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen
